Two people. Forty years in telecoms. One better platform.
TeleFlow exists because Matt and Tony got frustrated enough to build something better. This is that story.
It started with a problem nobody else was solving
In March 2022, Matt Langley and Tony Gardner sat down to talk about a platform problem that had been building for years.
Matt had been running Citrus Telecom for over two decades. The platforms Citrus operated had served their purpose, but they were showing their age. Inflexible. Cumbersome. Slow to support. And when Matt looked at what else was available in the market, the options weren't much better. Gamma, VMB, Vodafone, BT - all of them either inbound or outbound, all of them rigid, all of them requiring Citrus to become just another reseller selling the same thing as everyone else.
Tony had been running Dualtone Communications and working alongside Citrus for years. He'd built things from scratch before. He understood what the technology could do, and what it was being prevented from doing by the platforms it sat on.
During that conversation, something clicked. The platform problem wasn't a problem of what existed. It was a false dichotomy - the assumption that you had to choose between what was available rather than build what was actually needed.
So they did.
The operator who became a builder
He joined Citrus in 1999, became MD in 2000, and spent the next 26 years building something that consistently punched well above its weight.
The builder who thinks like a user
He's watched people struggle with software that was designed without them in mind. He's fixed the problems that came from platforms built by people who never had to use them.
What we stand for
TeleFlow was built around a set of beliefs that haven't changed since the day it started and won't change as it grows.
- 01
People before platforms.
The technology matters - we've spent years making sure of that - but the relationships come first. We've had customers with us for 15 years, and we still know their names.
- 02
Simplicity is the hardest thing to build.
Telecoms has been unnecessarily complicated for decades. Not because the technology demands it - because the companies building it never cared enough to make it easy. Every decision about how TeleFlow works starts with the same question: is this as simple as it could be?
- 03
Reciprocity is the only kind of partnership worth having.
We use the word partner carefully. If a reseller does well, we do well. If they have an idea, we listen. If they're in trouble, we respond. It's why our relationships are measured in decades, not contracts.
- 04
Integrity is non-negotiable.
We turn away business that doesn't feel right. We say no to customers we know we can't serve well. We don't make promises we can't keep.
- 05
Build it properly, or don't build it at all.
We took the time to get the foundations right before we went to market. That decision cost us time. We'd make it again.
Your current platform has a ceiling.TeleFlow doesn't.
If you're a telecoms reseller who's outgrown what you're on, or who can see the ceiling coming, we'd like to talk. Book a demo. Ask us anything. We'll give you a straight answer.
